An excellent cultural trip out of the city
Grainam_D, 02-02-2020
I can only say positive things about my day out. Excellent communication with lots of info right after booking up to the tour day. On time pick up and a smooth drive with driver Rohan.

My guide Tej was knowledgeable, friendly and down-to-earth. We managed to make good use of the day, covering history in the drive over, pottery and silk-making (supporting local artisans), the hike up Nandi hills itself, two temple visits and Nandi railway station. And also two delicious local meals to top it off! Although it was a lot, the day never felt rushed and I felt completely accommodated throughout.

Thank you so much, would not hesitate to book again with Unventured :)
Experience Village Life, Nature, and History

If you desire an authentic look into Indian village life along with history, culture, and nature, this is the tour for you. From making a clay pot with a village potter and learning about the Indian silk industry to hiking to the top of Nandi Hills (not for the unfit!) and touring Hindi temples, this tour has it all.

More than that, the tour guide (hey, Tej!)was extraordinarily knowledgeable. I learned so much about Indian society, culture and history. Inquisitive by nature, there wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer or from which she shied away. It was a wonderful day and gave me a more well-rounded understanding of India. Highly recommend!
A Perfect Day in Nandi!

From booking with Jyoti to touring with Sandesh, Unventured Expeditions went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing experience throughout. Our driver was also top notch following us during our cycling tour just in case I needed a rest ;-).
I was looking for a tour that combined history with nature and activity, and less time in the busy traffic of Bangalore. This tour fulfilled all my requirements. It started with an early morning drive to Nandi Hills, followed by breakfast in a beautiful retreat, then biking through the village where we made various stops to learn about historical landmarks, pottery making and silk weaving. Before going into the temple, my guide, Sandesh, provided me with a brief history and answered all my questions about the various Gods and culture. The Bhoganandishwara Temple was everything I had imagined -beautiful! Then, we cycled to a very cool old railway station, and finally to the base of Nandi Hills and drove up. It reminded me of Costa Rica with the lush forest and monkeys -only the monkeys were well behaved ;-)! The Nandi Hill views from the top on the gorgeous granite rock were outstanding! We stopped at Tippu Summer Home on the way down and then enjoyed another lovely meal at the retreat. Sandesh made my day perfection -he was kind, knowledgeable, and I felt completely safe as a solo traveler. No tourist traps or hidden agendas whatsoever. I would choose Unventured Expeditions in a heartbeat!!!
Nandi Hills Cycling Trip

I was visiting Bangalore for business and decided to do an outdoor activity as the weather was perfect. Initially I was looking to do a walking trip however when I found out that cycling trips were available I decided to book that trip instead. My guide was Arjun who was great, I was picked up from my hotel and the guide gave me some history about Bangalore and Nandi Hills. The day started off with breakfast at an orgaic farm which was lovely then we started our cycle trip and stopped off at a pottery store, silk facility and a temple. The tour was great not too challenging. I would very much recommend this company to do tours and I will definitely use them again when visiting India.
