This full day excursion, accompanied by a Govt. of India-licensed guide, is planned from Bangalore to Hampi and back. Hampi is a compelling tourist destination, a UNESCO World Heritage site, that showcases the extraordinary architecture and engineering of medieval India. Its landscape, filled with sugarcane fields, rice fields, rivers, hills, boulders, temples, forts, watch towers, aqua ducts, gateways, huge monoliths, and other hundreds of ancient ruins spread over 26 sq km, is unparalleled in its composition. Hampi, earlier known as Vijayanagara, was among the five richest capitals of the world in the 16th CE.
